OBJECTIVE
 MCA at DIAS facilitates the students to :
- Grab excellent job opportunities in the country and abroad
- Specialize in the cutting edge technologies in various disciplines of computer sciences
- Provide an insight into the emerging trends in various applications of computer technologies like Internet, Banking, Education, Space Research, Entertainment, Artificial Intelligence , etc.
- Enable the students to keep track of leading trends in various areas of information technologies
- Develop the competence required to face international competition
- Inculcate values of integrity, justice and fairness
On the successful completion of the program requirements, a student is awarded a Post-Graduate Degree in Computer Applications by Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, which also has the approval of the All India Council of Technical Education, Government of India.
PEDAGOGY
Teaching methods for MCA at DIAS include- lectures, case studies, seminars, group discussions, real life projects, extensive lab experience, extensive on the job industrial training and field visits.

AWARD OF DEGREE
 A student shall obtain his/her degree if
- He/she has registered himself/herself undergone and secured the required minimum credits for all the core and elective courses and completed the project report/ dissertation specified in the curriculum of his/her programme within the stipulated time:
- There are no dues outstanding in his/her name to the school or university; and
- No disciplinary action is pending against him/her.
The minimum period for completion of a course is equal to the number of semesters for the course prescribed and the maximum period for completion of a course having n semesters will be 4 plus n semesters.
